Grano in Schenectady is a hidden gem for anyone who appreciates fresh, high-quality Italian cuisine. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm, modern ambiance and the welcoming atmosphere. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations from the menu. The star of the show here is undeniably the fresh pasta. I tried their Pappardelle Bolognese, and it was outstanding—the pasta was perfectly al dente, and the sauce was rich and flavorful with just the right balance of ingredients. Every bite tasted homemade and authentic, a true reflection of Italian cooking at its finest. The appetizers are also a highlight. I had the burrata, which was creamy, fresh, and paired with a flavorful olive oil and crusty bread that was impossible to resist. The fried calamari was perfectly crisp and tender, served with a tangy marinara that made it even better. For dessert, I couldn’t pass up the Tiramisu, and it didn’t disappoint. Light, airy, and just sweet enough, it was the perfect way to end the meal. Grano is a must-visit if you’re in the Schenectady area and looking for authentic Italian dishes made with care and fresh ingredients. I will definitely be back!

We’ve become regulars here now and for a great reason. Do yourself a favor and go during week when advertised and try the 4 course for $30, cannot be beat and of course if you’re a Martini lover Thursday is your day. Check out their facebook for all the specials. It’s a must.

I had dinner at Grano in Albany and opted for their 4-course menu. Every course was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The highlight for me was the tomato soup—rich, flavorful, and comforting—and the salmon, which was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The pasta course was also good, and the appetizers set the tone beautifully. The service throughout the evening was attentive and friendly, making the entire experience feel warm and welcoming. Highly recommend Grano if you're looking for a good meal in Albany.

Great restaurant right next to Proctors Theatre. Went here before the show. Sat in back room which is much quieter than the front with the bar. Ask for back room if you want quiet. Service was excellent and staff efficient and friendly. Everyone enjoyed their cocktails, wine and entrees. Yummy, crusty bread too. Pictures are veal parm, veal medallions and chicken cattchitore. Highly recommend.

We hosted our rehearsal dinner here and we could not have asked for a better experience! Everyone raved about the food, all of the staff were excellent and attentive, and the room where the private events are held is beautiful. Karen was fantastic to work with and was extremely responsive for any changes that were needed along the way. She was willing to make changes for us that she normally doesn’t do for private parties, including having shareable appetizers from the main menu for our guests. The food came out quickly and fresh. They made a number of extra meals accidentally and allowed us to take them home with us. That is just unheard of nowadays! Would HIGHLY recommend having your next event here!

We hosted our wedding in their private event space, and it was absolutely perfect! The food was outstanding and every single guest is still raving about it. They provide very generous portion sizes, who gets to go boxes at a wedding now a days!? A wedding at Grano does! The staff went above and beyond. They were so attentive, professional, and genuinely kind, making sure everything ran smoothly without us ever having to worry. It truly felt like they were invested in making the day perfect, and we noticed and appreciated every bit of it. They allowed our vision to come to life and were accommodating for all of our wishes. We were never told we couldn’t do something and they made it all happen no matter how big the request. Grano made our day so effortless and unforgettable. We’ll be recommending this venue to everyone we know!
